Stitch Plus

What the optional subscription includes — ad removal, chat wallpapers, Chat Lock, and message translation — how it is billed on web and Android, and how to manage or cancel it.

What Stitch Plus is

Stitch Plus is an optional subscription that removes ads from your Stitch account. It is not required to use Stitch — messaging, group chats, voice and video calls, stories, and contacts are all part of the free experience and never sit behind a paywall. Stitch Plus simply gives people who would rather not see ads a way to turn them off.

The subscription costs $3.99 per month where available. Eligible new subscribers get a 7-day free trial — you are not charged during the trial and can cancel anytime before it ends. If you do not cancel, the subscription automatically renews at $3.99 per month. It renews monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel, Stitch Plus stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Trial availability may vary by platform and account history, and existing or returning subscribers may not be offered a trial.

What it includes

On Stitch, ads appear in a limited set of places rather than throughout the app. While Stitch Plus is active, those ads are removed from your account. Because the subscription is tied to your account rather than a single device, the ad-free experience applies on the supported clients where you are signed in to that same account.

Alongside removing ads, Stitch Plus unlocks a small set of extra features — chat wallpapers, Chat Lock, message translation, and larger file uploads:

  • Chat wallpapers — set a custom background for individual chats instead of the default. See wallpaper options from a chat's info screen.
  • Chat Lock — hide selected chats behind your device's own Face ID, fingerprint, passcode, or a passkey on the web. See the Chat Lock guide for details.
  • Message translation — translate messages in many supported languages, described below.
  • Larger file uploads — Send images, videos, and files up to 4 GB instead of the free 2 GB limit.

Message translation

Translate messages in many supported languages. Press and hold any message (or right-click on the web) and tap Translate to open the translation window.

Choose the language to translate from (leave it on Detect language to auto-detect) and the language to translate to (it defaults to your device or browser language). Tap Translate and the result appears under the original, with a Show original / Show translation toggle.

Message translation is a Stitch Plus feature and uses Microsoft Translator. Only messages you choose to translate are sent — nothing is translated automatically — and translations may not always be accurate. See the Message Translation guide for the full walkthrough.

How billing works

How you pay depends on where you subscribe. On the web, Stitch Plus is processed by Stripe, our web payment provider, which securely handles the payment and monthly billing. On Android, Stitch Plus is purchased and managed through your Google Play account, so the charge appears on your Google Play billing.

On iPhone, Stitch Plus is purchased and managed through your Apple account, so the charge appears on your App Store billing. In some regions, iOS may instead offer Stripe checkout for Stitch Plus directly from within the app. Whichever method you use, the subscription is the same $3.99 per month, is verified before it activates, and applies to your Stitch account across iOS, Android, and web.

Managing or cancelling

If you subscribed on the web, you can view and manage your subscription from your account settings while signed in to the Stitch web app. If you subscribed on Android, manage or cancel the subscription from the subscriptions section of your Google Play account, the same place you manage other Google Play subscriptions. If you subscribed on iPhone, manage or cancel it from your Apple ID subscriptions settings.

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Stitch Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for, and after that your account simply returns to the free, ad-supported experience. You do not lose any messages, contacts, or other data by cancelling.

Refunds and support

For questions about charges, renewals, or refunds, see the Refund Policy, which explains how refund requests are handled for each billing method. Purchases made through Google Play are also subject to Google Play’s own refund process.

If you are unsure which billing method applies to you, or you need help with a subscription, contact support and we will point you to the right place. You can also read the full pricing details on the Stitch Plus pricing page.
